Connection test

We check whether this network allows Quizhat live games. If something isn’t working, take a screenshot of this page (or copy the result) and send it to your IT department.

Testing…

It only takes a few seconds.

For the IT department

Quizhat only uses HTTPS on port 443. Allow (also as *.quizhat.app):

  • quizhat.app · the site, the games and the live connection (wss://quizhat.app/live and https://quizhat.app/live/…)
  • www.quizhat.app · redirects to quizhat.app
  • stats.quizhat.app · anonymous visit statistics, no cookies

Live games use a WebSocket on wss://quizhat.app/live. If a proxy blocks it, Quizhat automatically switches to a connection over plain HTTPS (/live/sse, server-sent events, and /live/poll, /live/send): it works, but it’s slightly less responsive. For the alternative connection, the proxy must not buffer streaming responses (text/event-stream).

Only quizzes with videos also need www.youtube-nocookie.com and the YouTube domains. No software to install, no ports other than 443.
